<p>PURPOSE:To provide a stopping method for a twisting machine short in lossed wire length and high in productivity. CONSTITUTION:In a method for slowly decelerating the twisting machine for continuously twisting wires as they approach to the set wire length and stopping the machine at the neighborhood of the standard wire length, a standard wire length SV at every kind of wire and every combination of wire diameters is stored in advance, the kinds of wires and the diameters of wires are discriminated automatically to select this standard wire length SV, a prescribed correction value NS is added to this standard wire length SV to obtain a set wire length NSV, the machine is stopped nearly at a fixed deceleration ratio from this set wire length, a new correction value NS obtained when the difference S between the stopped actual wire length PV and the standard wire length MV is added to a correction value NS adopted previously is substituted for a correction value NS adopted before, the change of the decelerated wire length due to a wire speed and a number of revolution of a bow is absorbed by automatically selecting the standard wire length SV, the change of decelerated wire length by conformability of the drive system is compensated automatically by substituting the correction value.</p> |
