<p>PURPOSE:To perform the proper picture setting according to using purposes, to obtain the divided picture suitable to the picture size without performing any special operation when the division is performed and to effectively utilize the picture by making the number of the effective display character in both divided pictures to almost maximum. CONSTITUTION:A display unit 3 is installed to a main part 2 so that the unit is capable of being rotated by the rotation support part. A liquid crystal display panel 22 can be set vertically long and horizontally long. When the liquid crystal display panel 22 is set vertically long and the picture setting is made to the vertical mode, the condition of the picture division is preferentially made to the upper and lower divisions and the division position is designated so that the lineages capable of inputting characters in the two pictures to be divided may be equal. When the liquid crystal display panel 22 is set horizontally long and the picture setting is made to the horizontal mode, the condition of the picture division is preferentially made to the right and left divisions and the division position is designated in the same way as the above mentioned.</p> |
