摘要 In a single stage rectification process to separate a gas mixture under pressure at low temperature, the light boiling fraction is drawn off from the head of the rectification column and the heavier fraction from the sump. The novelty is that the has mixture (1) under pressure is first cooled (W), partially or fully condensed and in a separated (A) into a liquid (4) consisting primarily of heavier boiling components, and a gaseous (7) fraction consisting of light b.p. components. Further, the gaseous fraction (7) is cooled (W), partially or fully condensed and then is sent via a choke (9) at the head of the rectification column (R) as return flow, while the liquid (4) fraction is charged into the rectification column (R) via choke (5). USE/ADVANTAGE - The process separates constituents of a gas mixt. with a single-stage rectifier at low temp. The process facilitates the separation of gas mixt. without using an expansion chamber or a compressor.
