<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation for exchanging a branching mechanism and to prevent faulty carrying caused by the deviation of the installing position of the branching mechanism by integrating and unitizing the braching mechanism with a fixing means. SOLUTION: Since a housing covering over a fixing roller 17 and the vicinity of a paper ejection part provided with branching pawls 29 and 30 is comparatively smaller than other parts, it is difficult to perform operation in the case of executing maintenance care by inserting a hand in such a part. In this copying machine, the fixing roller 17 and the pawls 29 and 30 are unitized together with an ejection roller 31 and a cover C etc., so that they can be detached in the unit of a unit U. When the pawls 29 and 30 are damaged and must be exchanged in the case of jamming processing or the like, the unit U is detached first. The unit U is easily detached by removing several screws and a wiring.
