PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high power factor of a rectifying power source or an AC power source. SOLUTION: The inverter comprises a rectifying power source 10 for rectifying a voltage of an AC power source 11. The inverter also comprises a smoothing capacitor 20. The inverter also comprises an auxiliary inductor 25 for connecting the capacitor 20 in parallel with the power source 10. The inverter also comprises a switching circuit having a pair of forward switching elements 31, 32 in series to receive the voltage of the power source 10 at both ends of the elements 31, 32. The inverter also comprises fly-wheel diodes 41, 42 connected in antiparallel with the elements 31, 32. The inverter also comprises an inductive load 50. The inverter also comprises a capacitor 60 for an arm for connecting the load 50 in parallel with the element 31. The inverter also comprises an auxiliary capacitor 65 connected in parallel with the power source 10 through the capacitor 60. |
