PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective means which reduces such a failure that the supply of signals to an output device is interrupted though the temperature rise in the outer shell section of the enclosure of electronic equipment does not reach a value specified by a safety standard, etc., by making the temperature in the outer shell section easily presumable by directly detecting the temperature in a power transformer with accuracy and, at the same time, surely interrupts the supply of the signals to the output device when the temperature rise in the outer shell section of the enclosure exceeds the value specified by the safety standard, etc. SOLUTION: A protective system for the electronic equipment equipped with the power transformer used for electronic equipment is provided with the protective means that interrupts the supply of the signals to the output device of the equipment when a temperature-sensitive element which is fixed to the internal surface of the upper part of a transformer case that becomes the upper surface of the transformer when the transformer is fitted to the electronic equipment detects that the temperature in the outer shell section of the enclosure exceeds a preset value. The protective system is also provided with a means which warns and indicates that the supply of the signals to the output device is interrupted.
