PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL DEVICE AND THE OPERATING METHOD OF THE SAME

A plasma display panel device and an operating method of the same are provided to reduce a black brightness and erroneous discharge by driving on cell and off cell on a first quadrant. In a plasma display panel device and an operating method of the same, a plurality of scanning electrodes (Y1-Yn) and a sustain electrode (Z) are arranged on the plasma display panel. A sustain driving unit(34) operates the sustain electrode, and a scan driver(33) supplies a pulse to the scanning electrode. The pulse supplied to a scan electrode is used for driving an on-cell and an off-cell for an initialization period.
