摘要 The present invention relates to a system for rehabilitating the upper limb of a hemiplegic patient using a smart device and to a method thereof. The rehabilitation system of the present invention comprises: a stick shaped first operating unit for rehabilitation exercise of a hemiplegic patient; a spherical shaped second operating unit for rehabilitation exercise of the hemiplegic patient; and a user terminal which is coupled to the second operating unit to receive the movements of the patient according to the rehabilitation exercise from the first and second operating units, and to output the result thereof on a display screen. In addition, the method for rehabilitating the upper limb of a hemiplegic patient comprises the following steps: (a) receiving the movement of the patient according to the rehabilitation exercise from the stick shaped first operating unit; (b) receiving the movement of the patient according to the rehabilitation exercise from the spherical shaped second operating unit; (c) receiving the movements according to the rehabilitation exercise from the first and second operating units, and outputting the same on the display screen. Accordingly, the rehabilitation system of the present invention facilitates self-training, and enables the hemiplegic patient to consistently perform the rehabilitation for a long period of time.
