Apparatus for discharging a silo from above comprising a scraper conveyer 1 loosening the material and feeding it to a centrally positioned extractor including a motor-driven blower 2 expelling material through an elbow 3, has the blower shaft 7 extending in the feed-direction of the conveyer 1 and its suction orifice 8 axially in line with its shaft. The conveyer 1 discharges tangentially into a conical hopper 10 the smallest diameter b of which is smaller than the diameter of the fan 11. An overrunning clutch 16 in the drive to the blower allows it to overrun when the motor 5 is stopped so that material in the extractor is cleared. |
