A valet rack 1 has a base 2 with a crosspiece 7 and foot piece 8 and an umbrella rack 10 formed from a single piece of sheet metal mounted on piece 7, a column 3 upstanding from the base and shelves 4, 5, 6 detachably mounted on the upper part of the column by brackets welded to the undersurface of each shelf. The rear corners of the shelves are connected by vertical braces 49 and the lowermost shelf 6 has a hanger member 52 with openings 53 in which the hooks of garment hangers can be engaged. In a modification, Fig. 9, two coloumns 62, 63 are connected side by side to support a single set of shelves 64, 65, 66 and a footwear rack 61. |
