The transistors may be emitter coupled, as shown, so that the converter is insensitive to variations in their current gains, or alternatively, Fig. 2 (not shown), they may be collector coupled with the phase inverter 17 omitted. The output voltage is rectified by voltage multiplier 11, 12, 13, 111, 121, 131 and may be applied as a control to varactor diodes for tuning a signal receiver, the resonant frequency of the device 4 being above the receiver range. The converter may be formed as an intergrated circuit.
