PURPOSE:To manufacture easily and efficiently a ceramic sintered body decorated with an uneven pattern unrestrictedly in its size, by a method wherein at the time of firing of a platelike ceramic molded body by a roller hearth kiln, a roller having unevenness on the surface is used as a roller of a firing zone. CONSTITUTION:At the time of firing of a platelike ceramic molded body by a roller hearth kiln, at least one piece of a roller of its firing zone or a zone in its vicinity is exchanged beforehand with the roller having an uneven pattern such as a protrusion 1A. Then the platelike ceramic molded body molded by a various molding is supplied to the roller hearth kiln, fired in accordance with the normal method and made into a fired body.
