1301042 Slicing machines W KRAUT [trading as BIZERBA-WERKE WILHELM KRAUT K G] 30 Oct 1970 [18 Dec 1969] 51615/70 Heading A4C A slicing machine has a planar circular rotating knife 5, Fig.1, a knife guard 7 displaceble perpendicularly to the knife 5, a reciprocated carriage 8 having a product clamp 9 which is automatically displaced towards the knife 5 after each cut by a distance equal to a pre-selected slice thickness, a delivery table 16 receiving cut slices and having means to lower it by an amount equal to the slice thickness after each slicing operation, and a manual control 12 operable to simultaneously vary the spacing between guard 7 and knife 5 in dependance on the selected slicing thickness, and to preselect the amounts by which the clamp 9 is moved towards the knife 5 and by which the table 16 is lowered in each cycle of operation. A lever 10 enables a changeover from a mode of operation in which the table 16 is lowered during each cycle to a mode in which the table is moved forward in each slices so that the slices are stacked in an overlapping array. Rotation of knob 12, Fig. 5, rotates a screw spindle 64 to move a nut 65 thereby adjusting, by lever linkages, the position of knife guard 7, the position of a lever 62 to determine the distance moved by clamp 9 in each cycle, and the position of a lever 84 which determines the distance that table 16 is lowered in each cycle. The knob 12 may allow stepless variation in slice thickness between 0À1 and 10 mm, and preferably between 0À5 and 8À5 mm. |
