flanged pipe fitting is lined internally with a thermoplastics lining by injection moulding a sleeve in the interior of the fitting and then transferring the fitting into a device in which the interior is subjected to a compressed air action whilst the thermoplastics material is cooling, setting and shrinking, whereby the linings is deformed plastically against the inner wall of the fitting without tendency to subsequent lift off. |
