The invention proposes a labelling device for whole cheeses, by means of which labels and wrapping bands can be applied automatically to whole cheeses, without manual operations being necessary either for the labels or the cheeses. The individual cheeses are fed via a transport belt and the label is applied to their upper side via pneumatically operating devices. The wrapping bands are stretched round the cheese and adhesively attached there by appropriate guiding arms.
