PURPOSE:To reduce cost without spoiling accuracy and speed of printing, by a method wherein a buffer chamber U-shaped in section is provided between a recording paper supplying part and a paper-driving platen, and a paper is placed in the buffer chamber in a slackened condition when rewinding it. CONSTITUTION:When priting is started, the paper P is driven in the direction of an arrow, is pressed against the platen 29, and predetermined printing is conducted thereon. Then, for multicolor printing, the platen 29 is reversely rotated while maintaining push solenoids 36, 37 in operating condiion, whereby the paper once printed thereon is rewound. The paper P loses tension, is separated from a correcting member 26, and is left in a slackened condition along a U-shaped wall surface in the buffer chamber 28. Then, driving for printing is restarted, and since a color ink of a TCR is at the next color position, another color ink is transferred further onto the printed surface by driving similarly to the above, thereby enabling multicolor printing. |
