PURPOSE:To prevent discoloring of organic pigment that may be caused by the light in forming images by means of transfer of the pigment by containing a specific hydrazine derivative in a pigment fixing element. CONSTITUTION:A pigment fixing element contains a hydrazine derivative expressed by the formula. In the formula, R1-R4 independently represent a substitutional or non-substitutional alkyl grop, a cycroalkyl group, an alkenyl group and an aralkyl group and in this case R1-R4 may be coupled together to form a ring. The ring is a non-aromatic heterocyclic ring, and among atoms forming the ring, those belonging to R1-R4 must all be carbon atoms. The hydrazine derivative is thus synthesized by alkylating hydrazine hydrate in sequence. Alkylation is carried out by a direct method in which alkyl halide and sulfonic alkyl groups are employed or a reducing method in which a carbonyl compound and cyanoboron sodium hydride are employed. |
