PURPOSE:To put an auxiliary light source in operation immediately when a main beam source is unusable and to prevent the projection of a laser beam from being interrupted by providing the auxiliary laser beam source which emits a laser beam similar to that of the main laser beam source on a specific optical path together with the main laser beam source which emits the laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam source device 1 is provided with the main laser beam source 1A and auxiliary laser beam source 1B which are controlled by automatic power control APC circuits 8A and 8B, which are controlled by laser driving circuits 7A and 7B so that a laser output is invariably constant. A mirror 3 is arranged on the optical path where the laser beams 1a and 1b from the beam sources 1A and 1B pass. Further, the laser beam source driving and switching means 19 consisting of a switching circuit 9 which switches driving signals and a laser driving signal generating circuit 10 is connected to the circuits 7A and 7B and the mirror switching device 11 for the mirror 3 is controlled by the means 19. Then, the beam source 1B is put in operation immediately when the beam source 1A is unusable and the mirror 3 is switched to prevent the laser beams from being interrupted.
