For the preparation of technical yarns having limited shrink and being dimensionally stable, trifunctional or fixed-conformation difunctional comonomers are added to the molten polymer before the polycondensation. As functional groups, -OH, -O-Ac, -COOH and -COO-alkyl are used. As particularly appropriate comonomers, are aliphatic triols, aromatic tricarboxylic acids in a concentration from 0.01 to 0.2% by weight based on the polyester or unsaturated aliphatic diols, unsaturated hydrocarboxylic acids, derivatives of aromatic diols and derivatives of aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acids in a concentration from 1 to 10% by weight. |
