PURPOSE:To decrease surface vibration of the recording medium and to improve C/N, erasing ratio characteristics and rewriting life by using a flexible substrate having a rugged pattern part to generate optical signals. CONSTITUTION:The thin optical information recording medium consists of a flexible substrate 1 having preformat of pits 100 for servo, and a recording medium layer 2. By forming the recording medium layer 2 on the substrate, deformation of the substrate during film forming can be prevented, and thereby, tracking performance and rewriting characteristics of the thin information recording medium can be improved. By this constitution, tracking performance of recording and reproducing and thermal fatigue characteristics of the recording medium film can be improved to prevent peeling or cracking, and moreover, C/N and erasing ratio chatracteristics of the optical disk and rewriting life are increased. |
