SOLUTION: This deodorizer A1 has a casing 11 having a suction port 11a and an exhaust port 11b, and a catalyst 12 and a heater 13 in the casing 11, which comprises a temperature detecting means 14 for detecting the temperature of the catalyst 12, an electric controller 30 for controlling the energization of the heater 13 to maintain the detected temperature of the means 14 at a set temperature, and a cooler 51 of a deep freezer 50 controlled by the controller 30 and provided in the port 11b to cool the air exhausted via the port 11b by the cooler 51. In the state that the detected temperature is maintained at the set temperature by the controller 30, the freezer 50 is held in the stopped state at the time of energizing the heater 13, and the freezer 50 is operated at the time of deenergizing the heater 13. |
