Arrangement for measuring surface temperature; corrects infrared camera output signal when sensing material using difference between camera output signal and reference radiator signal

The arrangement has a hinged or fixed infrared thermography camera (1) to sense the material (2) surface under test and provides data to a computer (3) to determine the temperature. A reference radiator (4) of known surface temperature is placed in the camera's sensing region. The computer corrects the camera output for the material from the difference between the camera output for the reference radiator and the reference radiator's output.
