PURPOSE: A system and a method for determining an optimum path are provided to present the optimum path to a driver by reflecting the efficiency and the weight value according to driving characteristics of vehicles and characteristics of roads. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of local processors(1A,1B) are in charge of particular regions, respectively. A global processor(2) is used for providing optimum paths to driving vehicles(3A-3N) by using the information of the local processors(1A,1B). The local processors(1A,1B) are used for storing characteristics of roads of corresponding regions, calculating the efficiency on the basis of the stored characteristics of roads, and transmitting the stored data to the global processor(2). The global processor(2) is used for storing the data of the local processors(1A,1B) and calculating a weight value according to the stored characteristics of the vehicles(3A-3N).
