The rapidly interchangeable energy unit is for electric and hybrid vehicles and involves battery groups placed in a standard container using specially developed standard batteries which can be easily interchanged. Using measurement and adjustment technique the unit finds its correct position beneath the vehicle in question. The unit then raises itself and clamps firmly to the vehicle. The whole operation of installation and dismantling takes less than 2 minutes. This is less than a vehicle acquiring a full tank of fuel and is not comparable with the charging of a battery of, for example, a Citroen Berlingo (RTM), i.e. 6 hours.
