PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning controller in which experimental or experiential adjustment is unnecessary and control performance of a control system is not degraded by characteristics of a detection system even when a constant of a compensator is changed. SOLUTION: The controller is equipped with a first speed operation part 81 and a second speed operation part 82 for performing processing on the basis of two analog signals different in phase of a position detector 76 and binary signals which binarize the two analogue output signals respectively and performs speed feedback by switching the two speed operation parts 81 and 82 under a prescribed condition. In the controller, on the basis of frequencies of the binarized signals and a response frequency of the control system, a switch part 83 for setting switching conditions of the speed operation parts 81 and 82 is provided.
