<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress charging/discharging due to the excess power of a capacitor device when changing the number of revolutions of an engine during the execution of the motoring of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: When downshift is operated when the motoring of an engine is performed by a motor MG1 (S130), the current number of revolutions of the motor MG1 is estimated (S210), and torque restriction Tm1min and Tm1max as the upper and lower limits of torque which can be output from the motor MG1 are set by using the estimated current number of revolutions of the motor MG1 (S160), and the torque command Tm1* of the motor MG1 is restricted by set torque restriction Tm1min and Tm1max (S170).
