A method to provide an interactive advertisement service in a set top box includes the steps of: mapping a position unique ID of a beacon transmitter and set top box information; requesting a server to register the mapped position unique ID and the set top box information; displaying an advertisement on a display device; receiving information request as to the displayed advertisement from the mobile terminal; and transmitting an advertisement ID of the advertisement to the mobile terminal. The objective of the present invention is to provide the interactive advertisement service providing method capable of recognizing the mobile terminal located at the near distance through the beacon transmitter mounted on the set top box.
