PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device body having an operation part having excellent operability, and an LED lighting device.SOLUTION: A device body is a device body for an LED lighting device used while buried into an attachment port of an attachment material, and includes: a housing having reception ports 137, 175 for receiving wiring connected to a commercial power supply; and connection means arranged in the housing and connecting wiring received from the reception ports 137, 175 in an insertable/extractable manner. The connection means includes: a first meal body 95; a second metal body supported in an elastically deformable manner in a direction of separating from the first metal body 95; and an operation part 93 configured to elastically deform the second metal body in the above direction and insert/extract wiring. The housing has a fitting hole 181 fitted to the operation part 93.
