<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably output a high-quality image by suppressing deformation of an image or blur of colors in a fine low-density portion. <P>SOLUTION: A calibration chart in which a monochromatic minute pattern is recorded as a patch is output, and correction conditions of a high-density region are updated depending on an image of this chart.
