COLUMN CLASSIFICATION EDITION METHOD OF POSTAL ADDRESS

PURPOSE:To execute the column classification edition of postal addresses in such a manner that the postal addresses cannot be erroneously read by the column classification of edition without adding any work to the postal addresses to be stored into a storage medium. CONSTITUTION:An address edition table 10 consisting of the sets of the plural character arrays at the top of the address which can specify the column classification of the postal addresses and the start position of the column classification is provided. The start position of the column classification is determined by referring to the address edition table 10 in accordance with the read postal addresses (step 101). The column classification edition is executed in accordance with the determined start position of the column classification.
