A bundling strap comprises a head portion 15 and a flexible tail portion 11 of strip configuration extending from the head portion said tail portion being formed on one surface with gripping means 21 said head portion comprising a body member provided with three parallel spaced arm elements 23, 23a, 26 extending transversely with respect to said tail portion, first and second arm elements 23, 23a being spaced from each other by a distance not greater than twice the thickness of the tail portion and the third arm element 26 being spaced in the longitudinal direction of the tail portion, from the first and second arm elements so as to be disposed between said elements and the tail portion, whereby when in use the tail portion is adapted to be passed around a bundle of articles and passed between the first and second arm elements of the head portion then around the third arm element and finally between the first and second arm elements again, so as to place the gripping means 21 on the part of the tail portion between the first and second arm elements in face to face contact, thereby to prevent the tail portion from being pulled out of the head portion in a longitudinal direction. The arm 23 extends from a sidewall of the head portion and is U shaped in cross section and L shaped in axial section; the second arm 23a extends towards the arm 23 from the opposite sidewall 24 of the head portion and there is a fourth arm 23b parallel with arm 23a. The arm 26 has gripping means 30 to engage the gripping means 21. |
