[Also in Division C2] A pesticidal composition comprises a carrier and a phosphorus compound of the formula: in which R 3 and R 4 are the same or different C 1 -C 4 alkyl radicals and X is an O or S atom. The composition may contain a solid carrier, a diluent, a dispersing agent, a wetting agent an adhesive or a fertiliser and may be in the form of an emulsion concentrate, paste, wettable spray powder, or directly sprayable composition e.g. one formed by using a mineral oil fraction or other hydrocarbon or a chlorinated hydrocarbon as solvent. The active ingredient or composition containing it has insecticidal, fungicidal, nematocidal, acaricidal and herbicidal properties and may be applied to soil and may be used as a deleafing agent e.g. in admixture with trialkyl thio phosphites or alkylpolysulphides. |
