1316276 Separation of chlorophenols COALITE & CHEMICAL PRODUCTS Ltd 3 Dec 1970 [12 Dec 1969] 60806/69 Heading C2C A method for separating a mixture of polychlorophenols comprises contacting the mixture with an alkaline solution to give an extract in which the proportion of one of the polychlorophenols to another polychlorophenol is greater than in the said mixture. Examples 1 and 2 describe the separation of 2,5-dichlorophenol from a mixture containing 2,4-dichlorophenol, 2,6 - dichlorophenol and 2,5 - dichlorophenol. In Examples 3 and 4, the 2,6-dichlorophenol is separated from 2,3-dichlorophenol. |
