<p>Appts for microbiological fermentation is more particularly intended for the prodn. of protein substances from selected hydrocarbons. The latter are introduced, with aq. liquid nutrients and air, at one end of an elongated, horizontal reaction zone; circular layers of liq. are entrained in the air at several successive points along the zone and the used nutrients and the biological products collected at the other end of the zone.</p> |
