A support unit (2) engages the body (S) in two cross directions and is adjustable in relation to a longitudinal axis in the body. A pair of stud-type components are arranged in the longitudinal axis direction, of which at least the one is axially displaceable to bring the components to engage with the body (3) and hold it. The support unit (2) is then removed from the body and a machining tool (5) processes a specific side of the body. After the tool has moved downwards a drive and positioning unit (8) rotates one stud-type component and with it the body through a predetermined angle. The tool then returns to machine the freshly presented surface, and this cycle is repeated until all surfaces have been machined. |
