The invention sets out from a handle for tennis rackets with recesses in the handle surface, serving for draining sweat, and a tape surrounding the handle and provided with holes. According to the invention, longitudinal recesses are provided which extend in the longitudinal direction of the handle and have at least one front opening at one of the front ends. The remaining recesses extend in the form of transverse recesses at an angle to the longitudinal recesses and open out into the latter.
