<p>PURPOSE:To ensure the junction and detection of cards when they are warped for an information reader having reading contacts which can freely move up and down, by securing the independent and free expansion/contraction for each contact and at the same time detecting the warping state of cards in response to the degree of expansion/contaction. CONSTITUTION:An IC and 8 is inserted through a card slit and confirmed at a stopper 2a for its arrival. Then a reader 3 is moved down to read the card 8. For the reader 3, a unit A is formed in a simple form so as to move freely up and down by a stopper 11 in a prescribed space l within a guide member 10 by means of a contact plate 14 at a junction part provided to a fixed member 9 and a contact bar 7 at another junction part which is connected to the plate 14. Such units A are attached to desired parts within the reader 3 to form connecting parts 4. When the card 8 is set normal to the space l, the stopper 11 can move in a range l-DELTAl. While the card 8 moves further by DELTADELTAl when the card is bent. An alarm is given to the shift DELTADELTAl. Thus this reader assures an accurate junction and the misreading can be avoided.</p> |
