PURPOSE:To minimize regular reflection from the surface of a copied original and to make the contrast of a copied picture better when the copied original obtained by copying an original is reused for copying, by projecting the reflected light from the reflecring surface upon the image surface through a polarizing means installed between the reflecting surface and image surface. CONSTITUTION:In a copying mechine in which an electrostatic latent image is formed by lighting an original from a light source 1 and projecting the reflected image upon the surface of photoreceptor by a projecting lens 4, a polarizing filter 3, for example, is installed between the reflecting surface 2 of the original and the image surface 5 of the photoreceptor. The light coming out from the light source which is not polarized is reflected by the reflecting surface 2a and becomes polarized light. When the polarizing axis of the polarizing filter 3 is set to form an 90 deg. angle with the polarized light, the reflected light is intercepted by the filter 3 and, therefore, a black image is formed on the image surface 5. |
