<p>PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of inferior start of an engine in which a predetermined amount of starting liquid is fed into a fuel combustion chamber during cold engine starting, by delaying the initiation of supply of the starting liquid during use of the starting liquid. CONSTITUTION:First and second fuel injection valves 3, 4 are disposed in an intake-air passage 2 in a rotary engine 1 in an area downstream of a throttle valve and an area in the vicinity of an intake port 21, respectively, and a starter liquid injection port 6 is formed also in the intake-air passage 2 in an area downstream of the first fuel injection valve 3. A starting liquid in a starting liquid tank 7 is directly injected into the intake-air passage 2 from the injection port 6 in association with the operation of a starting liquid supply pump 8 which is controlled by an electronic control unit 5 such that it is driven by a predetermined time period set by a timer when the temperature of oil is below a predetermined time. Further, during operation of the starting liquid pump 8, control is made such that the initiation of supply of starting fuel is delayed by a predetermined time.</p> |
