PURPOSE:To stably correct a secondary distortion without influence of temperature characteristics by generating a differential signal based on an input signal, and so composing as to generate a secondary component by utilizing the differential signal. CONSTITUTION:A differential signal generator A has a transformer T receiving an input signal at one end of its primary side to generate a differential signal. A square signal generator B has a pair of FETs Q-1, Q-2 connected at gates to secondary side of the transformer T. Terminals for regulating gate voltages are connected to gates of the FETs Q-1, Q-2 through resistors R-2, R-3. Drains of the FETs are connected commonly to a power source and an output through the resistor R-1, and sources are grounded. Since such a distortion correcting circuit for a semiconductor laser can obtain an output signal having stable secondary distortion factor against a temperature change, it can effectively suppress the secondary distortion of an optical output of the laser. |
