Enveloping a mould for lost wax casting process

The method concerns enveloping a mould for lost wax casting process in which a wax pattern is embedded into an embedding material and at a subsequent step, for purposes of creating a mould cavity, the wax is melted out. Embedding material, during the period from the instant of embedding of the wax pattern to the instant at which a predetermined wax melting-out temperature is reached, is isolated from its surroundings by means of an enveloping element which is impenetrable by water and/or water vapour. Also claimed is an enveloping element for implementation of the proposed method.
