<p>PURPOSE:To prevent accumulation of deterioration due to correction by adding correction information to a correction disable signal on the way of its transmission, sending the result, eliminating the correction disable part from a picture information main body and transmitting the remaining part without further modification. CONSTITUTION:A coding circuit adds correction information cf from a device of a pre-stage to picture information dv subjected to compression coding 12 by a correction information adder 14 to add the information for the correction by an error correction coder 18. Moreover, an error correction decoding circuit 34 detects and corrects a transmission line error and outputs a corrected signal to a correction information demultiplex circuit 36 and a correction disable flag of with respect to a correction disable signal to a correction flag generating circuit 38. The circuit 36 separates the correction information cf and the picture information and the circuit 38 generates the correction flag cfe from the flag ef and the correction information cf and the picture correction circuit 42 corrects the output of an expansion decoding circuit 40 according to the flag cfe and outputs the result as picture information dv. Thus, even when the coding decoding is implemented repetitively, the deterioration by the correction on the way is not propagated and the accumulation of the deterioration in the correction is prevented.</p> |
