<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily search desired image information by controlling a recording medium to run for reproduction when a control signal reaches a setting value of a time setting part, and making the recording medium speedily run up to the position of a desired information. SOLUTION: A viewer predicts that a desired image was at the tape position about 20 minutes ago in reproduction time, and sets a time setting part 9 to 20 minutes, and when the viewer operates a rewinding button on an operation part 8, the tape starts running speedily by a motor of a recording drive part 5. Control signals are taken out of a control signal recording/reproducing head 11, and a control part 6 counts the number of the control signals. When the control signals are counted corresponding to 20 minutes set by the time setting part 9, the rewinding operation is stopped by a control signal from the control part 6, and reproducing operation is started. If the viewer desires another 5 minute rewinding looking at the display, the viewer should operate the rewinding button by setting this 5 minutes to the time setting part 9, then, the tape is automatically shifted to the desired reproducing state again.</p> |
