CONNECTOR HAVING METAL PLATE SHELL FORMED BY TUCKING METAL PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the mechanical strength of a metal shell mounted on a printed circuit board in a connector having the metal shell formed by tucking a metal plate. SOLUTION: A metal shell formed by tucking a plate 30 has a shell leg 25 in the part near in the Y1 direction and a shell terminal 27 on the side of a connector insertion opening 24. The shell terminal 27 is installed at the tip of a folding back part 28 which is extended from the end in the Y2 direction of a bottom plate part 34 and folded back in the Y1 direction. The shell terminal 27 is fit to a hole 43 of the printed circuit board 40, and the connector insertion opening 24 side of a USB connector 20 is firmly fixed to the printed circuit board to increase the mechanical strength of the metal shell.
