<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal transmission device for steering, for restraining deterioration of a cable and generation of rotational sliding sound without bringing the cable and a rotational lock mechanism into contact with each other along with winding and rewinding of the cable. SOLUTION: A rotational lock mechanism 21 is provided with a link rod 29 penetrating through an upper plate part 18A of an inner cylinder 18, and a lock piece 30 rotatably supported on the lower surface side of the upper plate part 18A at the intermediate part. The lower end of the link rod 29 is rotatably supported on one end 30A of the lock piece 30, the other end 30B of the lock piece 30 is energized to an upper plate part 17B side of an outer cylinder 17 so that the outer cylinder 17 and the inner cylinder 18 may be locked on lock holes 32 formed on the other end part 30B of the lock piece 30 and the specified position of the upper plate part 17B. Since a flat cable 19 and the rotational lock mechanism 21 are separated from each other through the upper plate part 17B, deterioration of the flat cable 19 and generation of rotational sliding sound are restrained.</p> |
