摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method that can easily produce three dimensional photonic crystals from which a photonic band gap wavelength is precisely obtained. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method, a plurality of laminated layers, that include a refractive index periodical structure is laminated to produce the three dimensional photonic crystals. A plurality of the layers is defined as one unit and in the method, an adjusting process is included to adjust the total layer thickness of the one unit so that an ideal layer thickness, in which computation is made to obtain the photonic band gap in a desired wavelength band within one unit, and the average layer thickness within one unit are matched with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
