PURPOSE:To obtain the more appropriate word counting result. CONSTITUTION:A word processor is provided with a synonym dictionary data base 221, a retrieving means 220 which retrieves candidate words/phrases corresponding to each word and phrase out of the base 221, a deciding means 219 which decides whether the candidate words/phrases were obtained by the means 220 or not, a word counter means 225 which calculates the using frequency of each word and phrase included in a document, and a deleting means 224 which deletes the words/phrases whose absence in the base 221 is cleared up by the means 219 out of the counting subjects of the means 225. |
