PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position adjusting device capable of positioning an electromagnet with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The position adjusting device comprises: a measurement means disposed at a reference position in a building to measure position information on the electromagnet 12 disposed on a beam transfer line of an accelerator; an actuator 18 for shifting the position at which the electromagnet 12 is located in a vertical direction and a perpendicular direction; and a control means 20 for calculating the amount of movement of the electromagnet 12 based on a measured value obtained by the measurement means and a predetermined position that is determined in advance, and adjusting and controlling the electromagnet 12 by means of the actuator 18.
