DOCUMENT DATA READING DEVICE AND ITS COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document data reading device for transmitting information showing the whole configurations of a tabular form when showing information expressed in the tabular form with the output of a voice.

SOLUTION: An input part 10 inputs text data including table information where items and elements corresponding to the items are shown by a tabular form. A table detection part 12 detects the table information from the input text data. A determination means 18a determines whether each cell of the detected table information is a cell including items or a cell including elements. A number of item calculation means 18b calculates the number of cells determined as cells including the items. A number of element calculating means 18c calculates the number of cells determined as cells including the elements. An overall output part 24 reads and outputs the number of items and the number of elements by synthesizing voices. An item output part 26 outputs the text data included in all the cells including the items. An element output part 22 outputs text data included in the cells including the elements.
