<p>PURPOSE:To convert character information into its corresponding voice only by the selection of a heading and to transmit the voice by providing the information transmitting equipment with a data input means, plural heading display devices, a heading selecting means, and a voice generating means. CONSTITUTION:A CDROM is loaded to the equipment to display heading information on a CRT 7. The initial screen is a screen obtained by editing the headings M in the whole pages of a specified newspaper, and displaying the table of the edited results (the continued contents can be selected by a button 33) or a screen obtained by contracting and displaying the contents of the two pages of the specified newspaper. When a user selects the initial screen by the switching button 33 and selects a heading by a cursor C, the transmitting equipment 1 selects the heading on the cursor position, reads out its corresponding contents, develops the character data of the read contents to voice data while referring a voice dictionary, converts the voice data into a voice signal by a synthesizing circuit, and voices the contents through a speaker. The contents can be repeatedly listened by depressing a repeat button 37. Thus, the constitution makes it possible to listen the contents of a corresponding document as voice only by the specification of the heading.</p> |
